all my mixes based on "being in the loop" so they will be harmonical and all that, but i find some tunes that are not in the loop so mixing can be little beast there...
2 examples :
the mystery - emotion , right after the "chorus" theres 3 drums , then the loop starts so unless youre starting your record right after those drums , the mix ed....
hiver & hammer - 5 million miles [vocalized mix], the issue here is in the start, right after the first 2 loops u got an hihat , then the loop starts...
got more issues of unlooped tunes? got a solution for it? i wanna hear! |

when mixing Sam Sharp - Deep
i like to mix out early 'cause i know the tension in my set will be kinda lost if i let it go all the way through only to process the same theme twice, so i mix it while it's going the first time. Only, i tend to forget that suddenly there's a break that goes for only 4 bars and not 8 so that it would fit the loops of the incoming song, but then again it can sound great if you get it to fit.
Also if you are mixing Aquagen - Hard To Say I'm Sorry (Club Mix) (i know it's cheese but fun to play for sure:p ) if you're not cutting completely over to it there are these 4 or 8 beats of silence where the percussion fades out instead of the beat kicking in as you have expected.
Bah, can't really think of a lot right now |
