ok...well this is my first attempt at a remix - and it's the best PF song in my opinion. Lemme know what you guys think, this is just the beginning, i just wanna know if i should keep workin on this or send it to the ever growing scrap pile. Thanks a ton.

Noticed you used a sample from 'Speak To Me' as a little fill. Nice ideas, but doesnt really work.
There is that amateur feel to it.
(This is all speaking as a huge Pink Floyd fan of course ;)) |

ok so i updated it, it's a lot better sounding in my opinion, it's still not nearly finished - i was wondering how the vocals sounded though(they aren't finished). So, lemme know if ya give it a listen.

| Being a Pink Floyd fan (Seeing them @ Earls Court on Oct 94 on their Division Bell Tour when I was 14!). Not really a big fan of Echo's though - more like 'Run Like Hell/Comfortable Numb'! Anyway back to your mix, the vocals are a little low and are difficult to hear! Not a bad effort but for me Pink Floyd and prog/trance don't really mix - great effort though! |

I really like what you've done with the sample, I've never heard the original but I think its working well, would like to hear a bit more reverb on the fx in the intro. Might work more with a traditional trance layout to the build up of the track? I think theres a mega track lurking in there somewhere just needs tweeking to be more dancefloor freindly (if thats what your aiming for with it of course)

Andy its not bad. It does have that amateur feel, but definitely a good attempt. I like PF alot, and the track is also one of my favorites of theirs. Anyways, good luck and its not bad. Make the vocals louder. |
