I think you're wrong.........the people dying are those who take to much, in too short a time period.......or those who choose to take two or more different chems simultaneously..........
rat poison.....yeah that would do it.....but that's not what's happening.
what can you do..........drugs and music have been intertwined forever.....and everybody knows that..I bet some people were doing opium before they went to see Mozart....
I don't care if people think I'm a druggy when they find out I'm into trance......who gives a .....
live life for yourself.....don't worry about other people.
as for those who die; sorry.........but we all do and there are worse ways to go.

Well.. taking too much will kill you as well.
I don't understand these people who go and take 5 Es in one night, I mean what's the point? I have only ever taken one at a time, usually just half, specially if it is good stuff..
as for mixing chemicals.. well, "ecstasy" by definition is a mix of several chemicals, MDMA is what you want, there is MDA, MDEA, MDB, crystal meth(evil stuff), speed, all sorts of in typical ecstasy pills. a pressed pill of E can NEVER be pure mdma, it wouldn't hold together. gelcaps can though, a nice fat gelcap of pure MDMA is a one way trip to heaven if you ask me.
but in any case, people die from bad E, too much E, not enough water, too much water, overheating, exhaustion, various reasons.. you just gotta look out for yourself.
and I agree there were probably people getting ed up on opium and seeing mozart, probably absinth and nitrous oxide too.

well see another bad thing about taking more that 2 E in one night is how ecstasy works. MDMA simply floods your brain with serotonin. realizing this, you only have so much serotonin in your glands, and you also 'get used' to the large amount of it after awhile. if you are taking something with lots of other in it, esp meth, you may feel more ed up with more pills, but then its not even E anymore.
on mixing drugs, i realize E is ofter a mixture of alot of things, but in small amounts, or relatively so. if you would go around rolling, drinking, smoking and even added one more other serious drug in dosage amounts, meth, heroin, coke, it would most likely kill you or at the least cause some severe brain damage.

| Raves=drugs. there's no way around it. Saying that it isn't that way is like trying to tell your mom you ate all the potatoes when you were younger but you had them stuffed in your sock. Although You may as a user be through with drugs there will always be mad drug content at raves. Lie to your parents and the naive. keep it real with those that understand. |

Yes this is sad, especially close to home. The E probably wasn't E at all. In Europe 10000+ pills are consumed weekly and the average death rate is 3-4 a year. So 2 in 1 night is pretty suspicious. Even the police think it's pills passed off as ectasy and are asking anyone who bought pills that night to had them in to a pharmacy for testing. So the party scene in Vancouver will be affected by this and might end up becoming illegal again.

Not for everybody. I have been to 10+ raves this year and I have only dropped twice. I don't go to get stoned I go to listen to music. But your right about one thing, at least 95 percent of the people do E at raves. But I love music alot more than drugs. |

As usual, we can always count on the media for it's most unbiased views of the rave culture! NOT! It's a bunch of bollocks to the tenth power!
Which reminds me, because of the ignorance here in my hometown, we have the rave bylaw. The only purpose it serves is to severely deterred the parties from happening..

Your right Insom, I don't think we have a bad rep. I was totally shocked to hear 2 people died. The Stargate and Spooky incidents were the only things that I have heard of. Just 2 isolated incidents.
Sothis, you make Vancouver sound huge but it really isn't. Our biggest indoor raves are from 3500-5000. That really isn't alot of people. |
