Blank and Jones in NYC (pg. 2)

I'll definitely go to this, they don't come around to the U.S. very often and I've never seen them. They have great productions but I agree that sometimes their DJ'ing is a little off for me (really depending upon the mix). They can get cheesy sometimes....
Actually, the last time I went to Avalon for J00F it wasn't bad at all. Most of the freaks were not in attendance and it was like 50% full. I had a great time. Don't get me wrong, I hate Avalon too, but I'm able to deal with it somewhat for special situations (Dj's I haven't seen before or that I really like).
There isn't anything I can do about it, so I don't want to whine too much anymore. It's either I don't go or I deal with it. Mostly, I've figured just not to venture downstairs too much. |

i hate the avalon...but right now its the only club where some djs play....like Ferry for instance. for him (and blank and jones) ill make an exception but i cant help wishing they would choose somewhere else to spin.
hmm as for ferry, i dont see him scheduled to be at avalon in February like last year :conf: hrms |

Yeah, I'm eager for Ferry to return too. He's awesome live! Ferry somewhere else would be sick.
Unfortunately, someone cool like Blank and Jones goes there instead of Spirit. But think positive and see that Spirit is making inroads to pulling people there.
Yeah, it's about exceptions at this point. |

yeah but unfortunately Avalon is wellknown...it DOES draw ppl and yes the sound system there doesnt suck...:( im hoping that djs will go, see how crappy it is, then decide to choose another venue the next time they come to nyc..*crosses fingers* |

but i just asked danny about it and he might be spinning at at party that night, so i might not get to go anyway.

i have disliked blank and jones since the end of 2001; pre 2002 they were amazing... but thats just my opinion... everybodys a critic these days... i'll be quiet now.... enjoy yourselves :) but then again i hate ferry corsten with a passion as well.... so what do i know? i listen to weird bleeps and squeeks that holden plays and i get off on it and dark trance ambient downtempo stuff like aes dana and asura... i'm a weirdo... never listen to me ^_^
