Hey guys,
I am gonna be selling quite a few of my records on Ebay over the coming weeks and I wanted some guidance on selling them.
I will be listing via Ebay UK, what I wanted to know is when I put an auction up via the Ebay UK site, will it also appear on Ebay.com , ebay.de etc? I usually allow bidders from all over the world on my auctions, I will post anywhere but I'd like to be able to get my auctions to appear on most of the ebay sites (ebay.nl also) - is that done by default?
I also wanted to make my Ebay auctions look fairly flash but I am so with all the coding, is there a good program that I can use to get things looking nice and cool for each auction? a standard ebay template with just amended text and a bit of bold is a bit really.
Also, do any of you use Ebay Turbo Lister? is it any good? anything else you guys recommend?
One more thing, any UK ebayers, could you give me a steer as to what kind of postage costs I should use for my auctions? if you could fill in the blanks below that would be sweet, I wanted a steer on typical postage rates for 1 vinyl and for each one after so I am not over charging for postage or under charging.
UK -
Scandinavia -
Holland -
Germany -
America/Canada -
China/Japan/Thailand -
believe it or not I've had a Japanese guy buy stuff off me (he won one of my Cosmicman - I Love You auctions).
TIA guys
Cheers,
Simon |

well...as biz just said...i'm pretty sure that your auctions will appear on all the different ebay's...i think really the only purpose of having a ebay US and ebay UK etc is that the prices are shown in that currency to make things easier for buyers...
ps. sell all your rare records to me hehehe :p |

When setting up your auction it asks if you allow Worldwide, continent, or country by country sale.
For shipping .... this isn't much of an answer but I suggest you look and see what other people charge in their auctions as this may also help you be aligned with the competition.
One piece of personal advice : a lot of uk ebay sellers do is add a surcharge if someone is making paiement through Paypal; that is legal only if done in the uk ( to my knowledge ) so if you're selling to someone in the usa or canada you can't do that surcharge and you could get your account suspended, seen it done before. |

Great, thanks for the info guys, all I need now is an idea on using Ebay Turbo Lister, is it worthwhile? I have a fair amount of stuff to put on.
It is a bit naughty the Paypal thing, thanks for making me aware.
As far as auctions go I think I should probably give as much detail as possible (tracklists, label, cat # etc) rather than making it look all nice and fluffy with all the backgrounds and presentational e, I dont think people are that bothered, are they?
Cheers :) |

| my advice to get buyers in is to get a good picture, high res and a detailed description of what your're selling with postage costs etc |

Appears to be showing now. Searching on AYU ARMIN on ebay.com brings up your listing, as well as your id simcut. You're good on ebay.com.au also.
Good luck. |
