This is one of the better ones on the market:
KitchenAid Artisan Food Mixer
CLCK03
The new Artisan food mixer from KitchenAid has a full metal construction and comes with the standard accessories dough hook, beater and wire whisk. The food mixer comes with a pouring shield.
-300W Motor
-220-240V
-4.83 litre bowl with ergonomic handle capacity
-Dimensions: 35.3 x 22.1 x 35.8cm
£289.95 plus VAT and delivery.
its higher than your budget- but its the industry standard and you muct have it to help your mixing abilities.
Otherwise check out kenwoods range- should be something suitable there.
To really rock the house, get a george foreman grille on the side ..... helps expand your range and versatility which is the key to good mixing and serving up a good set |

I wouldn't recommend Numark, but with your budget I don't see any better alternatives. Instead of paying 250 for a DM06 I would spend the extra 50$ and go for a PPD01. www.123dj.com has it on sale for 299$, and I would highly recommend them. I bought a DJM600 brand new for 699$ the week before xmas.

Im soooo out of the loop as far as mixers go...Im using a djm-300 from 4 years ago:stongue: Its rather interesting to see what is the better budget mixer currently. Im going for a djm 500/600 for my next because I learned on one as well as I dont play out in public so it wont matter, but I will feel comfortable.:toothless Sorry if its no help but whatever.

If you want efects go for dxm 06 if not go with vestax pcv 175, better sound and build quality. And you have 3 ch.

heheh. i had a thread about this cuz my mate was looking for a mixer around this price range. he ended up going for the numark DXM06 although i think he was persuaded by the sheer amount of features on it as opposed to the build quality and implementation of what was there. by all accounts it sounds like a good mixer. although the other ones that came up tops with the wise men of the dj booth were the vestax PCV180 and the ecler smac pro 20. the vestax in particular seems to have earned a lotta love from this place. worth checking out. if i ever get myself a pair of decks i think the ecler smac would be my choice though. by a hair's breadth. and only because i liked the design of ecler's mixers over vestax. otherwise it could easily go the other way.
