Dude, that is one of the most awesome things I've heard in the last few days ;). I finally get to play some brand new/unreleased tracks and some that I or one of my friends is working on. Any chance any of this could be recorded?
SVGmethod
yeah for sure we can record it. there is a CD Burner in the studio. The only thing is that a CD can hold only 80 minutes..and the show is 2 hours...so we can just break it up into 2 cd's, 1 hour each. Shouldnt be a big deal or anything. I am toying with the idea of bringing in a lap top and possibly recording it through one of the inputs. I have to check to see if there is a way to do that first. But for sure, there's a cd burner in the studio.

Yeah Conway is definitely among one of my favorite local trance djs, he always plays sick ass tracks. A rarity indeed to find good trance especially in SB.
SVGmethod
i am definitely workin my ass off to get the trance scene going here in Santa Barbara. Hopefully in a few weeks I will get moved to a better time slot...and even more hopefully (LOL) a longer time slot too. Trance songs are just to in long. HAHAHA.
justin
I used to live in Santa Maria actually. I remember the first time I was ever exposed to the rave scene was in SB, in '99 at a house party. Some dude named dj hectic. So actually SB played a very important role in making me aware of electronic music.
SVGmethod
Thats tight. It'd be nice to get something going like that again. Me and some friends are going to start an Electronic Dance Music club on campus at UC Santa Barbara. We are thinking of putting together an event at The Hub on campus. Its gonna take a lot of work tho.
justin
definitely worthwhile, should'nt be hard to draw a young crowd in a college town like that. actually I don't think it would be hard to be successful in a place like that... given the right resources.
and you're doing the college radio broadcast as well right... thats cool. I'll be tuning in.
justin
damn... why can't you d/l those Michael Conway sets NEmore?

Guess what... I'm coming out to SB soon to pay off an old outstanding warrant.

Is there any good trance record stores out there? House is ok, as long as its good house.

The site that hosts the files is down right now because my friend is too broke to pay the bill. It should be back up soon.

Outstanding warrant...holy ...what'd you do? LOL. Please share.

As far as record stores go...in Santa Barbara there are only 2. There's one State Street called Just Play Music. I don't think they carry trance anymore, mainly house in the electronic section. I would give the house selection there like a C+/B-. Not my cup of tea. Then in Isla Vista there is Dubsnap Records. They have a TON of drum n bass/jungle/house. Not so much trance (pretty much just older/used records). The house selection is about a B/B+ tho. In Ventura there is Wild Planet on Main Street. I think they are slowly selling what they have left and discontinuing selling records. Not much stuff left actually. I'd give that selection a frickin D-. Then there is Salzer's which is on Victoria Street off of the 101. And that basically is like your standard music store...except they have a small selection of vinyl. I have actually randomly found some good records there. I bought Nikola Gala - Swing 2 Harmony there for 4.99. Can't beat that ANYWHERE. LOL. Thats about it for us here in the 805.

Drop me a message when you are in town and ya can hang out with me on my radio show. =)

I talked with a public defender yesterday and hes going to appear in court for me, Thank God. Saves me a six hour trip in gas money etc... but thanks Neways for lettin me come chill with ya. Hopefully I here some good news from him soon.

Back in 99, you know that cd store on state street on the opposite side of the street that Just Play Music is on. Well I got caught stealing an EAZY -E cd from them, and I just never went to court for it. Stupid huh? Oh well I was a kid then and since then I have changed my old ways.

in A... no record stores NE where these days. But thanks for the info.
