EFX 500/Xone 92 Help

Okay new n00b question for today from me...

I have a Xone 92 and I just got my monster TSR cables in so I tried to hook up my EFX 500. I put the L/R from Aux 1 (on the Xone) to L/R on the Input (on the EFX). I then put the L/R from the Output (on the EFX) to the Retrun 1 (on the Xone).

Now how do I get the bloody thing to work? I'm not picking up any signal on the Input Level on the EFX or the Effect Out Level. I have the In & Out Level on the EFX to -10db (as suggested in the manual) and the front of the EFX is set to Master.

How do I get this thing working and test it out?

Cheers,
Keith

Anyone? I've since tried hooking it up to Return 2 on the Xone (that is what the Xone manual showed) and can only hear the effects in the headphones (when plugged into the EFX 500) when I turn the knob on the Xone Aux 1 (at the top of the Xone) all the way up. But I can't seem to get the EFX to send the effects out to the Xone?

You checked the knob on the upper right of the EFX? is it 'open' ?
Does the led's give some signal?

If they do, then you have to look @ your mixer.

Just put the cable on output 2 from your mixer to your EFX.
And then the output from the EFX to AUX 2

Does this work? if yes... maybe your send is broken from your mixer?

This is how I connect mine

-MIXER AUX 2 to INPUT on efx 500
-OUTPUT on efx 500 to MIXER RETURN 2
-set MIC/RETURN switch to RETURN
-then DUCK/OFF/ON switch to ON
-turn the AUX 2 knob on the channel you want and press the PRE switch to the DOWN setting.
- adjust the AUX 2 knob accordingly on how loud you want the effect signal to be.

try hookin it up to the midi output

The midi output isn't that accurate as you have to tap in the beats on the xone.
