If you hate your school that much then transfer. I never go to any frat parties and I have a blast. The frat crowd at my university is worthless though, 85% of the music at their parties is Texas country like Robert Earl Keen, Robert Creager, Jerry Jeff Walker, Pat Green, Corry Morrow, crap like that. It makes me want to gouge my eyes out. They're only into drinking and coke which really aren't my favorite drugs. The point of the story is you don't need to hang out with frat guys to have a good time on the contrary actually. I have friends that are in fraternities and I've taken advantage sorority girls before but their parties aren't all that cool. Don't get me wrong the parties are massive with free alcohol, and plenty of stupid beautiful girls but Its not my scene.

Don't go to a private school, thats just asking for it :D

But seriously, ASU will be a nice improvement hehe. Although I heard you're not allowed kegs there anymore, wtf is up with that. I went to JMU as a foreigner and I had the craziest time of my life, met tons of people.

You would love IU. I'm not kidding. IU really is the (despite being in Indiana). It's a freak of nature really, how IU happened to be in Indiana.

I LOVE IU!

UF,.. University of Florida... one of the top party schools,.. 1 hour to eitehr the Atlantic or 1 hr to the Gulf of Mexico,... warm weather,.. close to all teh clubs in Florida...

and 50,000 students to find your party action... over 25 frats and like 20 sororities...

those house parties from those movies are a piss take to what UF has to offer... but one thing that is different nobody dances, just heavy heavy drinking...

dont go to small private schools... nobody will know what it is unless you explain it to them later in life and if you do go to a bigger school you will make many more connections for people you'll know from all over plus you will definitely run into fellow big school grads from all over the country...

i'm not goin to say i can relate, i got to a 55,000 person school but I will say the advice about a club is more than a good idea. We have DJ clubs, we have community service clubs, like a million of them. You will find all the right people who have the best outlooks on life in clubs. It sounds like you need more active people and you will defiently find them in places like clubs.

If you are not willing to join a club, pick up a hobby. There are many things to escape with, a lot of us on this forum choose music(DJing, writing, whatever). But in all honesty, join a public service club. you will find girls who aren't so stuck up, girls who actually care about other people more than themselves.

When i started college....... I was coming from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The environment, the vibe, the language...everything about home was completely and utterly different from the small, private liberal arts university in Atlanta, Georgia I was attending.

I instantly felt the need to meet everyone cuz if i didn't, and just stayed in my room, i would have killed myself.

I hated being bored and doing the same thing over and over again.

So i met every single person....... i instantly became popular in college. Does that even exist?!?!?!..... yes...it does.

but then i got pissed as fuk cuz now nobody would leave me alone and i realized after going back to Puerto Rico and then returning to Georgia.......... all of these people were wankers. I couldn't connect with them.....they didnt like the same things i did....... and it sucked.

Regardless, Im still known for my party throwing skills, and for being a general crazy bizotch who smoked a hell of a lot of herb. ha!

to point of this story is..... you could know 5 people, or every one.....and still hate your university. ;)

Eh that's kind of true here, except most of the dj's that I want to see that come here are usually booked for 21+ clubs. That makes it hard to meet some of thae people who enjoy the music, and my fake id never came through.

Take up smoking... just kiddin. But seriously, I've met some of the coolest and most genuine people i know at uni by talking to them during mid-lecture breaks while smoking outside.

Seattle U is just stuck-up because it's like the only expensive private school around. (Well... not the only one. But close enough)

University of Washington is 5 minutes away! Party there? Everyone I've known at UW has been friendly, if not a complete idiot. :)
