What a great night at The Guvernment. Let a friend talk me into going at 11pm and it was well worth it. Line up moved fast, coat check was fast, and it wasn't crowded.

I don't know if it was because I wasn't expecting much but Sandra Collins blew me away. At 4:30 the Glasgow Thug took over and was amazing as usual.

Can anyone identify the 2nd last song Collins played? It was a mix of The Music, Breakin - amazing.

LOL @ Glasgow Thug!

If you are talking about that song with the massive build up in it it's actually about 10 years old. I cant remember the name of it but i used to call it "the build up song" and it was a popular rave tune back in the days of massives.

Sandra Collins opened up real great with the acid techno but got real fluffy real fast. She only kept me interested for about 20 mins. Some of the breaks were ok but it was too laid back west coast for my style and for the likes of guv. I was just about to leave due to being a little tired when I saw Mark going on so i stuck around. I ended up staying for another 2 hours! He was laying down some hard breaks, hard techno and crazy rhythms. If Mark were pitching a baseball game i'd credit him with the save last night!

It was a great night...a fantastic night...Can't believe how busy it was?!
Right from the start Mark Oliver (a.k.a the glasgow thug!LOL!) was droppin' some sweet house beats and one track after another would turn it up a notch to set the stage ready for Sandra...
Never seen her live before, I liked her set and now she's on my list of future dj's to watch for every time she's in town...
THE CLOCK HIT 4:30am and it was all over!
Mark with a Vengence....

I remember looking up at the DJ booth and seeing the Glasgow Thug behind her near the end of her set and wondering who he was

The funny thing is that those caps have their origin in the UK completely unrelated to the hip hop scene.
