LOL yeah i saw that! Apparently it was a joke though. When i saw it at first i hadn't clued in to the fact that it was 1.0 because my bf had opened the file and started watching without telling me. I recognised Steve Balmer but i was sitting there thinking "wtf is the big deal... why's he saying "AND get a FREE clock!!!" like normal OS don't have a clock..." hahaha
Absolutely hilarious though :tongue2 |

With the release of Windows XP Service Pack 1, Microsoft will take the first steps toward satisfying the terms of a settlement forged with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) by allowing Windows users to select their own default programs for many functions.
Try: Start -> Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults. |

Are you just unable to get Firefox to load when you click on a link? Or does Firefox not load when you double click it's icon? (or select it from the Start Menu?)
If the former is true, try this:
1) Start up Firefox.
2) Click: Tools -> Options
3) Select "General" on the sidebar.
4) Make sure that the check box under "Default Browser" is checked. (It should say something like "Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser when starting".)
Also, under the "Default Browser" section there is a "Check Now" button. Try clicking that. |

well i installed it...and once i had finished i double-clicked the icon...didnt work...but it did show that the operation occured in the processes tab in Task Manager.
I then tried as u suggested through the start menu on its tab...tried the safe mode...and the normal one...both operations occured in the processes tab in task manager but nothing pop'd up
and no i dont have ad blocker or anything disableing window pop ups
its strange...i seriously think microsoft took over my comp :*(

I also use Win2K @ work, and have no issues with Firefox. It's a welcome replacement to MSIE.
Some corporations have even gone as far as to require its use for security reasons. System admins usually change the default Firefox icon to MSIE's big blue e icon, and are using the MSIE theme available for Firefox.
Some users get scared/confused without the familiar MSIE UI I guess. :) |

Try re-installing Firefox. If this is not the first occurrence of software not starting up properly, and/or other weird issues, you might want to consider re-installing the operating system.
