Trance is FINALLY comming out of the 2000 lull!!

has anyone else noticed it? Trance now seems to be getting more and more popular by the day since the lull it had in 2000 thanks to the invasion of hard house and that dirty word called "garage"...ugh..there ive said it! More quality trance tunes seem to about while the cheesy tunes that are only their to make money seem to be dissapearing...but still far from gone but just think of all the massive quality tunes we've had recently...

...and the list could go on...i also think tiesto has really helped the trance senn along and is getting more and more popular...trance would probably still be in the lull it was if it wern't for tiesto
Progressive is supposed to be the way for the future and the next big think...but lets face it a lotta people just don't like it cuz the majority of it is just boring ploding wank! However much prog-addicts can dream about it becomming the next big thing...it just aint gonna happen...its trying to be like that now but to many ppl just want hard house or trance... |

It's good to see that the trance scene is leaving the cheeze behind but I don't think that epic trance will be back the way that it was in 1998. Let's face it, although there are quality epic tunes being made these days most Dj's are spinning progressive tunes. Even Tiesto who spins trance is also spinning progressive tunes. I hope that the future has a good blend of both epic and progressive, instead of just one.
BTW. Hard House and Garage are utter crap...Hard House is just as bad as Happy Hardcore...160 bpm, whistles and air horn...bah it's not even music. |

Seb Fontaine and digiweed stuff is more progressive house, isn't it? I don't think it's boring, it's different from trance and not as melodic and uplifting, but on the other hand it's badass funky. ;)
I think it's kind of chillout too.. |

yep totally agree with ya!
most of the time I can't stand the stuff Digweed plays -- but that doesn't mean I don't admire his skills -- original!
Fontaine -- well never seen him live, can only judge him from his Prototype CDs, all of which are good to lounge to!
Can someone explain to me what DEEP HOUSE is -- really? |

Deep House is Danny Tenaglia (GU Athens and London), along with possibly some of Deep Dish's stuff (Yoshiesque, not their GU).
Progressive House is sooo much better than Progressive trance! Progressive house (IE: Sasha, Kleinenberg, Danny Howells, Anthony Pappa, Lee Burridge, Troy Roberts, Parks & Wilson, Steve Lawler) is so deep and groovy. It doesn't bang it out, doesn't peak every 5min, so when that peak does come, you go frekkin mental! |
