One thing: Van Dyk is his artist name, not his real name (Matthias Paul) |

Andreas Paul is his real name..... "Van Dyk" is his artistname.... |

Voor de laatste keer dan:
Paul van Dyk:
His real name is Matthias Paul, he was born 16th of December 1971 in Eisenhüttenstadt (East-Germany)
Married with Natascha Seidel since 2000
His isn't Dutch although his artist name is Van Dyk. The official reason he has a artist name has to do with privacy and because Paul van Dyk just sounds better than Matthias Paul.
Why exactly he uses a Dutch name is unknown to the public, but it might have to do with the fact that his father left him and his mother at young age. Maybe it's his mothers maiden name?
Like I said, Dutch influence in Brandenburg is pretty big. Btw, another well known Berlin DJ is called Mijk van Dijk. They are not related. |

roflrofl bro I was just kidding!
I try to chill at the Israel forum but they all have hebrew threads too.. I know just enough hebrew to sound like a caveman ;/ |

People from Amsterdam use tons of hebrew/jiddish words every day. Many of them are now common Dutch:
gabber (chawwer/chover), geintje (cheen), geteisem (chatteisem/chatat), jatten (jad), kapsones (gawsones/ga-awtanoet), mazzel (mazal), stiekem (sjtieke/sjetieka)
So... buy a dictionary :p |
