I think the original post was more to talk about the music that gets played on airplane radio channels, right?
If so, last time I made a long haul flight on a KLM flight I spent a few hours listening to the best works of Clannad, which was very relaxing. The trance/dance channel was not very good, though I didn't listen to much.
As for music you prefer to listen to for flying I would recommend more chill out, ambient, trip hop or IDM. There must be many threads on these already. |

| Café del Mar (Three 'N One Mix) is really great to listen to when you're looking out at the cloud-scape. Flying home from Florida through the night I spent most of it listening to FSOL's We Have Explosive, the murky ambient mixes working well. But then the sun rose over the ocean and I switched to Café del Mar, and watched the dawn break to it. Certainly made up for not being able to sleep for 36 straight hours. |
