| Get a dj program such as traktor, dssdj or virtual dj and plug the output of the comp into the mixer, done, all you got to do is get the right cable |

I've been using Traktor for a little while... don't like it too much, more or less I'd rather use any track I have on my PC after its been burned to a disc, not sure why I prefer this and not the "Laptop" DJ setup, but I guess the PCDJ thing hasn't hooked me yet...
In any event, to answer your question, yes it can be done, and if you some decent examples of someone who uses a laptop ALL the time and does (What I find to be...) a good job, seek out some Andrew K sets, such as his GDJB...
Cheers,

How about this then? (sorry for hijacking your thread a bit)
I've got my amp connected to my computer now as i am producing music aswell. I'm still to buy the gear, but I don't have any more inputs in the amp. Do you think there'll be a terrible latency if i choose to route my mixer-output through my soundcard and back out to the amp?
edit: just for the record, it's a emu0404 |
