i hope that taper leg/skinny pants go away. they are completely unwearable for anyone w/ thighs or hips. they don't even look that flattering on mischa barton (altho i think it's in part b/c she wears them w/ ballet flats)
i do love, the look of the sailor pant. the lines are much more flattering for someone like me:

i am soooooo upset that i can't do drainpipes. it's the bane of my existence right now. i adore how they look, but most people cannot pull it off, especially not i. le sigh. i hear ya on the sailor pant but the length has to be perfect. |

Ladies...I need some help here...
Where could I find a nice petite-size (size "0") semi-formal dress for Jenny to wear to a corporate Christmas party? It's our first time going to such an event and she doesn't have any dresses :(
So we checked out Banana Republic's site and saw some nice things for the "office party" but it's a bit expensive and we're not even sure if it's available in Canada or not.
Any nice places you know of or if you can even post some elegant ideas would be MUCH appreciated.
The party is on Saturday, Dec. 3 so not much time :(
We'll probably end up with BR but if you had other ideas, like smaller boutiques, that would be cool! :D
EDIT:
Something like this: (BR)

Went through H&M's website but didn't find anything...man, don't tell me I have to go in there :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: |
If your girlfriend looks like that. Throw her in a garbage bag and she'll still look great for the party. |

Thanks for the help! :) I was hoping I didn't have to walk around looking like a retard asking for ladies' dresses in the stores *blush* so I thought I'd see if any nice pics were available online.
But I will definitely suggest Zara! That's more the price range...between Club Monaco and Banana Republic. |
You may want to try Le Chateau as well, it would be lighter on the wallet and you can usually find fairly small sizes. Mexx is also a good suggestion, last time I was there they had some really cute stuff for evening/holiday wear (not necessarily dresses) ..
good luck and happy shopping :) |

Thanks for all the advice, ladies!!! (AND THANK YOU, MALEK!!!)
Wow, awesome advice nadezhda (I knew you'd have some wikked ideas ;))
And Adrenalina, someone from work told me that she saw a dress that I've always fantasized about :p with a lace trim on the bottom at Le Chateau (thanks, INTRANCE :D)
...and RK, Melanie Lynn, Costa Blanca...you TOTA fashionistas RULE!!! :D :D :D
I fell in love with this one from Espirit immediately when Jenny sent me the link online:

And I ALWAYS pictured her in one with a lacy bottom part like this (will still need to compare with Le Chateau's though):

| Banana Republic is a store that I would never buy anything from. Their clothes are expensive and not that great, and they're owned by the same company that runs The Gap and Old Navy. |

I too hate the Von Dutch gear...
Some clothing that really caught my eye early last year was Karv...a brand new line out of Canada. It's similar to Energie with more of a simpler look. I almost bought their whole summer + winter line (long sleeve shirts)..except for the coat..it had a furry neck :eyespop: |
