This is not the Guv nor is it System or any other club here in TO, It is Republik and I hope it aspires to be everything it can and should be - and finds itself to be a viable option for a good weekend out. Good DJs, good sound, good club and good crowd = a great night out. To have all of these happen at once - a miracle (everyone has something to say) - but I am looking forward to their 5 year anniversary party.
And until the big box superclubs come and standardize everything - we must enjoy the individualism that each club/bar brings to the scene.

All very true and I couldn't agree with you more. When REPUBLIK has been brought up here and there in convos people have had nothing but good things to say about this place and it's HUGE potential so good luck to all involved!:happy2: ;) |

Understood it is only the small room, and that is not going to stop me from checking out the club. But that is my opinion of the lighting shown in those pictures.

It's not neon... They are LED light fixtures that are completely controllable... over 256 colors... Please dont insult me with Neon!

LOL!!! I should have picked up on that but i was thinking neon as in the colour not the gas...

I conducted an Interview With Walter on Friday, full walk-through and other questions about the club and its all done and ready to go. Im just waiting for Walter to OK it and then It will be availabe for download (hopefully it will educate everyone that wants to know more about the club itself)

judging from the pictures, I wouldn't say it's anything special
I've been to so many clubs that resemble that one
if you're designing a new club, why not design something out of the ordinary, someting really unique and unseen
...that many lasers = kitsch
I'm not really into setting as much - I don't mind partying on a parking lot, the beach, the garage - whatever.. but for a club to impress me with interior design, it's gotta have something different
even so, I regret I won't be there any time soon to check it out |
