Exorcist does it for me. I couldn't sleep for a couple of days. I still get scared when Im in bed and think of that movie.
IMO, The Friday the 13 movies and Jason movies are funny to me. |

Standard ones that have already been said:
The Exorcist
Halloween
Texas Chainsaw Massacre [both original and remake]
The Ring
I'd like to add The Shining and IT , but honestly, the books were way better and the movies don't do them justice. IT would have been far better if it wasn't a made for TV movie. ugh. |

This movie needed a remake. I don't care what you think. The first one was complete and utter , and I doubt that many of you were there for its original release in 1978, so don't even pretend as though it's good just because it's the original. |
:stongue:
Sadly, I even thought the remake was complete and utter .
My favourite horror series of all time tho would have to be the nightmare on elm street series. :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: I just hired Freddy Vs. Jason on DVD so I think I'll go watch that now and return with my thoughts on the take:cool: |

The Omen
I don't find movies of recent time scary enough, they have lost their creativity and have resorted to cheap ass CGI to try to frighten us instead of using a creative story or a creative way to shoot scenes. That is generally how I look at movies today. I 'll say it before and I'll say it again...
Directors today are using speacial effects as a crutch instead of a bonus and it is ruining creativity. |
