I've been really digging this since I heard 'I Like Sex' on the Filterheadz GDJB. This has just been released on 2x12" today :)

Rene Amesz - I Like Sex EP

A. Red Soda
B. A, B, or C
C. I Like Sex
D. Deep

On disc one, I much prefer the A, Red Soda, from the samples that I've heard so far. After a few listens I've taken quite a liking to it, with the signature Rene Amesz bassline on a 4/4 beat with a catchy, kind of 'hollow-sounding' melody. The production of A, B, or C is a bit too repetitive and techy for my tastes. It does come with a meatier bassline which might make this one club-friendly, but it's difficult to judge from real audio samples :)

I Like Sex is by far my favourite track on this EP. It's got an excellent build with some distorted vocals, also techy but carries itself with a much nicer melody, IMO. Deep, the 4th track on the EP, has some groovin' 70s-ish samples that instantly reminded me of Boogie Nights. I can't fully rate the track based on the sample, but it appears as this might be a nice filler track, but nothing too outstanding.

Check it out!

I Like Sex is a wicked track, Amesz has been producing some good stuff recently.

the samples sound pretty good. i think out of the 4 tracks "deep" is more my thing, but "i like sex" and "red soda" are quite nice too, and fresh-sounding, but personally i feel i'm kinda moving out of stuff with obvious main leads. "a, b or c" is a bit too harsh.

Copies @ Juno now. The samples sound promising, pretty different sounding stuff with some fresh, quirky sounds. I like.
