jews were put in gas chambers by germany 65 years ago. not the opposite.

And as to the guy that wrote the post above, germany didn't kill jews, nazis that happened to be german did, there is a vital difference, and one that any competent MPs of a government should know.

i dont believe i need to explain this.
the hatred that hitler preached was based racism. the hatred demonstrared by those israelis is based on the Holocaust. something that happened 65 years ago - not 2000.
and do you compare what was done to people in the Holocaust to a burning of flag by 20 stupid people? |

But not every country has them in the goddamn Parliament.
The guy is german, but I doubt he was even alive at the time of WW2, and even if he was he was prolly too busy sucking milk from his mother's breast as she ran from soviet bombers to care.
And he comes to Israel to apologise for something he wasn't even involved in, because that is his duty as a statesman, and hes insulted by other statesmen from israel just because he is a german? Even Dubya has more sense than that.
Tell me that isn't racism. |

The Germans DID kill the Jews. And not only them, many of your Ukrainian kin as well who weren't even remotely associated with the Nazis.
Contrary to your precieved belief, it was not one man that killed the Jews. No, its not all Hilters fault. And no, its not all the Nazi's fault either. It was a Pan-European, and specifically German fault. I know this is hard for you to understand, but thousands upon thousands, upon thousands of Germans killed millions of Jews. Those rest of the Germansthat didn't actively stood by in support of the genoicide. Reporting Jews where they were spotted in almost all of the cases.
This anti-semtism was not Hilter's fault - he did not make it all up - it existed in the people before, and they awoke on it.
Germans didn't treat Jews with any ounce of human decency. Jews were treated like rats, if not worse. And the whole German society stood by quietly in active support.
So why is it so hard to believe that some people have not forgotten like you have? And do not beleif that one generation can simply wipe its hands clean of the crimes comitted by its fathers? Why is it so hard for you to understand that people who experienced the holocaust are still alive in Israel - they know excatly what the Germans did.
I'm talking about the fact that the German's PM's father was probably either an active or passive support of what happened to the Jews. Your talking about on the Israeli sides entire families, with cousins, sibblings, nephews, etc, families of hundreds of which only one or two survived.
One doesn't forget things such as these quickly. One doesn't forget that the Germans tried to destory the Jewish race from the earth once and from all - and came pretty close. |

I also liked the one where you say that children are responsible for the crimes of their fathers.

Lira answered your question - i felt it was enough. and no i dont think its racism. because racism is hatred based on race. those few parliment members left the room from differnt resons. i guess they feel its not enough that the guy comes and apologizes. so he himself wasnt involved in what was going on, but he represents the country that did something that is realy unforgivable.
i dont agree with what they did, but leaving the room is not racism. what about the UN special session that was held few weeks ago?, and was dedicated for the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the death camps. it was the first time such seesion was ever held - half of the sits were empty. i dont see you get all mad about that.

Slavs, my ethnicity, were only one rung above jews in Hitlers book, and millions of them died in the camps too.
Millions of Ukrainians died as a result of Stalin's starvation in the 1930's, and 1 in 6 died in WW2.
My grandfather's great grandmother was sold as a slave by the Turks.
If I start hating every race/ethnicity that has ever done wrong to my race/ethnicity im not going to have time for anything else.
