Slowing down a track with Cubase SX

Is it possible to slow down the tempo mid track with Cubase? For example to slow it right down and add some breakbeat in the middle - then start to speed up again? If so - so can someone tell me how to do it?
Airscape
Time stretch i would of thought

yes it is possible but it is a little more work than you might think. What you can do is goto "project" in the menu bar and then tempo track. Now at this point you are able to draw the tempo in each bar. Make sure you have the snap control on before you do this, now you can align your beats acording to the tempo in cubase. You will see now that the bar indicators or grid lines start to have bigger gaps, meaning the tempo is getting slower. I have never done this fully through but I'm sure this is the way. and it would be the way I would do it.

Yea that is right, but make sure that ur tempo is set to ramp instead of jump, to make it dj friendly. Trust me, you dont want your tempo jumping up and down in miliseconds.

press ctrl+t - that opens up the tempo track. draw your tempo change automation, and make sure tempo track is turned on in transport bar. shortcut key for transport bar is F2, and tempo track is on when 'tempo' is lit on. if tempo track is turned on, manual changes of tempo will be ignored.
