I trasnfered courses (and uni's!). was doing maths at leeds uni transfered to retailing management at leeds met, both uni's were fine and I kept them both imformed of my reasons (thought maths sucked!) and kept them updated on my situation.

Had no problems with the loans company either, rang them up, had to fill out yet another form and they were happy

One thing that leeds met wanted me was not to have dropped out and have had sucesfull grades in my exams coursework, which I did luckally, so you may need to bend the truth on that one, though I guess each uni is different.

im duin Physics :D, coz im a ing loonatic, dont do it ever, and i mean it. but i suppose it is the most sought after degree in the 'job' world,as well as being the best paid :D

i think you should stick to it as well, and work your little testicles off..

I'm doing physics as well:D

i've found the 2nd year a lot easier than the 1st, mainly cos I now get virtually no coursework, so most of my time is 'free'. You gotta work a bit on your own, but nothing too hard, til exams get close at least, then you do. I'm sure itll be worth it after all...

Although I did hear that there are only 15,000 formal graduate jobs on offer, but nearly 3 times as many graduates....So stick with the decent degree:)

Good One!!

I did a piss-easy course at uni, spent my entire time drinking and shagging birds. I did business systems, and really enjoyed it. But I had my ups and downs too, especially on the financial side. Stuck with it and passed with a 2:1

My advice, forget about jobs afterwars, its bull, employers dont look at specific degrees, they look at you and a degree gives you an advantage over the other guy. Do something you enjoy, but dont give something up because its "too hard" or you failed an exam, give it up because you want to.

Thats classic management student bs. If you want a graduate level job you need to do a decent degree. Professional jobs engineer, accountant, doctor, lawyer all need specific degrees.

Wee joke for you.

What does a management student say to you five years after they've graduated?

.....You want fries with that?

:haha: :haha: it's funny because it's true.... :haha: :haha:

"management" love how people think it prepares them for anything, your a new graduate, you know nothing and yet your going to "manage" people with maybe 20 years experiance?

Don't get me wrong some of the degrees are difficult and with languages and certain other things they are valuable but management gets a high score on my joke degree list.

I.e. a management student I know did a "work placement" as a petrol pump atttendant....

I've done ones involving £250K project budgets (one of two gratuate engineers in a team of 4 or 5).

Uni is not a "life-experiance" in my view it's a ticket to decent jobs, a long series of hoops to jump through to get where you want to be. Not a large jolly. (having said that I used to piss about a fair bit too, never actually went to some classes... but I did a decent degree and finnished it)

perhaps you should have a long hard look in the mirror when you're judging whether or not to do your uni degree based on how many birds and geeks there are doing it.
