‘smü[th] - the radio show
THE DJ
Crossing the pond from the UK into America, Jav D parlayed his nightlife expertise in design and promotion into a vehicle for his own DJ styling. A burning ambition for many years, Jav D feverishly worked the decks secretly in his spare hours, indulging his passion for deep, tribal, progressive trance.
Over time, he honed his skills, mixing blistering sets of hypnotic ecstasy. Eventually these sets could no longer be contained and Jav D sought to express his unique musical blend for all to experience igniting dance floors into a frenzy at marquee venues like Nation, Dream, The Loft, Home, and Spank in Washington. Signature gigs included opening sets for Pete Moutso, George Acosta, Lange and #3 Dj in the world, Armin Van Buuren.
All the while, Jav D electrified the airwaves as well with programs featured on DI.FM, XM Satellite radio, and HFS 99.1.
Jav D has also played an active part in creating events with the finest talent from around the world, names including, Armin Van Buuren, John 00 Flemming, Lange, Above and Beyond, DJ Rap, Quivver, Deep Dish, Saeed & Palash, Mauro Picotto and many more.
Now firmly established in the DC-metro scene, Jav D now seeks to broaden his horizon with gigs across the States and abroad.
THE SHOW
XM RADIO SHOW LAUNCH - (JAN 19th) 'smu[th] hits the airwaves on Wednesday January 19th, on XM radio (www.xmradio.com) . Which is the current nr 1 satellite and internet radio station in the usa, with over 3 million subscribers nationwide.
The show will be aired every Wednesday between 7-9 pm, eastern standard time and re-run every Sunday between 10 - 12am. eastern standard time
