Good goals such as the elimination of the bourgious as the scapegoat for societal problems? Hmmmm those good intentions remind me of some of the initial good intentions of national socialism. Funny how things have a way of turning out right? Also funny how good intentioned communism resulted in 5 times as many deaths as ill intentioned national socialism. But it's all about intentions and goals? Might want to read up on NSDAP history. Quite leftist in it's call for redistribution of income and war profits, profit-sharing in large industries, nationalization of trusts, increases in old-age pensions and free education. Unsurprisingly they're fundamentally very similar with one advancing unity under nationality whith the other advancing unity under the proletariat. And with all that unity, every other group in between is excluded.
They're political symbols. Banning them makes about as much sense as banning the confederate flag. |

Well Im a Ukrainian and I can say from my experience nobody in Ukraine is against those symbols at all. In fact, they sell clothes with CCCP decals, and the hammer and sickle, Lenin's mug on it, I actually bought some reprint communist propaganda posters for my rooom on my last stay there. One has a picture of Stalin hugging a bunch of kids and the caption reads "Thank you Uncle Stalin for a wonderful childhood" :haha:

On the subject...
This is competeley ridiculous to suggest the hammer and sickle should be banned. The hammer and sickle is the international symbol of communism, not Communism. And I love the way that a great deal of people in these ex-USSR countries wish they still were in the USSR! Bloody middle class wankers in the Parliament, its ok for them to be anti-USSR seein how they now have their well paid salaries in the EP but the rest of your country who have been well and truely shafted by the great Western liberalism (you are now free to be poor and live in poverty - whoopy ing do) |

all of you people in here are dumb. instead of bragging around why dont you go back to your countries and help building it up in the east.
1. lets get this st8...politics as of today are that way because of the after effects of WW2.
as the psychology goes... the loser of a war is always the stupid one...the winner will
never enrich the loser in any way.
2. nazism ... lets called it national solicalism if you ppl dont konw. intened to reestablish and profit for the one country. not only based on war and hatred how some ppl stated in here.
3. comunism is theory. it does not work out because people have a private and personal ego and are not all the same. plus in the sovjet union over 12 million russians and jews died in the russian holocaust under stalin. wonder why nobody brings that up...probgably because russia does not have any money and doesnt work like germany like an atm account for israel.
