good stuff.... although some of the synths sound weak and plastic for hard trance... try some distortions... the bass on the beginning has too many highs! lowpass filter it... I don't think resonance is the problem here. If you need a driving bassline, add a distortion before the filter so it's rough. A bassline can't have too many highs or else the high hats are drowned out and the highs from the bass synth can interfere with the lead's highs and comb filtering occurs. Not only that it's freaking annoying!
the breakdown is massive dude... too bad it doesn't turn into an amazing beat in when the beat comes in... the build builds no tension... try a very tense build drop the beat for 2 bars and bring the beat back in... it's a common hard dance trick but works at a club everytime.
The structure of the track isn't all that hot either. I dono if you're tring to avoid the breakdown-buildup formula, but this isn't progressive house, it's a hard trance anthem for goodness sake (and by anthem I mean literally, you're remixing a pop song dude... why not use a proper club anthem structure?).. You'll definately drive a club crazy, if it were structured like an anthem.
This track has A TON of potential, but every chance it gets to use it, this track fails to comply. |

I'm actually really happy with the structure of the tune, driving from beginning to end. I can't stand all the breaks and builds in hard dance. That's just me personally though. I suppose the music scene that I produce in also dictates my influence in my productions. Whereas miami has a very latino feel to it, Sydney is very much a filthy assed hardstyle/hardtrance scene. Naturally, I know some people just wont like what I've done to the tune.
Thank you for the creative criticism, it is appreciated, I hate when I give someone criticism and they turn around and attack me. I've spent heaps of time trying to get a fat bassline happening. |

Hey gyrus I like this a lot. It had be bobbing in front of the computer ;)
Everyone else has said what I think about the song already: fatten the bassline & add more variety to the melody, so I won't say too much about that :cool:

Nice remix! That bassline is so damn fat and pumping, goes brilliantly with the vocals. I like the way it doesn't let up too, keeps the energy going all the way through :eyespop:

Productionwise this track has some weak points.
1. The drum's a bit too weak, i'd crank it's amplitude up about 10 to 20 %(with it's volume getting a 20 to 40 % boost).
2. The percussion is also a bit weak, same advice.
As for the style, it's nice and refreshing to see people crossing borders, so i like the mixing of hard and progressive.
As far as the structure of the track is concerned, it's a bit standard, but that's all right.
Overall i'd give your track a score of about 75 out of 100. |

I'd hate to disagree with you... only the breakdown is driving... there's nothing filthy ass about the track either... just because you distort one element (the vocals) doesn't make the track filthy. The elements in this track sound plastic and unprocessed. We (in Miami)listen to hard trance and hardstyle too and we know the difference between a club banger and a fill-in track. The way this track is structured would make it a fill-in, not an anthem anyone would remember (or be talking about after the night is over), other than the fact that it's a tomcraft remix.
but o well as long as you're happy with the track... that's all that matters I guess. |

cheers guys, will definitely eq some bits more and try and "de mud" a bit of it. I use entirely software, I used vaz for that main riff, bit of effects hear and there.
