Replacement keyboard from Logitech
View this Thread in Original format

I heard through the grapevine that you can request a replacement keyboard from logitech if there is something wrong with yours. And when I heard that, there was nothing wrong with my keyboard but now the space bar is sticking. So I would love to find out how to obtain a replacement. I tried the website but it must be quite hidden. Has anyone actually done this before? Who do you contact?

I have gotten replacment keyboard and mice (wireless, optical) from Microsoft by calling them and requesting one.

I don't know if Logitech offers the same service.

so do you have to actually provide them with your old keyboard? or do you just demand it.

With Microsoft, I have called and requested replacements, without giving a reason, and without sending the old one back.
StereoPrincess
hmm, so i have to find the number.

I think they don't have a toll-free number, but as long as you don't call at a peak time, they won't hold you on the phone for long. Call the one in Vancouver - since they're a few hours behind, you can get through first thing in the morning, my friend did that and the whole process took him about 10 minutes on the phone. And since the product he had was no longer in production (Cordless Freedom) they gave him the new one (MX).

what happened to his keyboard?

and what do you think they will do since mine is a duo? will they have to send me both things?

i guess i think i *should* just try and clean it first. but it would be nice to have a new keyboard.

His keyboard just had a few keys sticking. And he had the CF duo. They sent him the MX duo as a replacement. Since they tell you to cut the cord on the receiver, they have to send you the full set as a replacement. UNLESS what you're trying to replace is still in production, in which case they'll probably just send you the specific part.
