I don't find it funny. It's not an easy job - think of having to deal with the people falling on the tracks.
What's really annoys me is how many people complain about the delays caused by these incidents. You can expect part of the system to be closed every three days due to someone falling/jumping/being pushed on to the tracks, in most of those cases the person is hit by a train and dies. In many of those cases the driver can never work again. Think of the station assistants who have to deal with the aftermath and the engineering team who have to get the body out.
Nothing can prepare you for that, not even a pay rise. |
