Fire & Ice -Out of Dakness... WHAT"S WRONG HERE???

First off, I'm not angry! But I was compelled to write this after reading something, somewhere else in this site.
Fire & Ice - Out of Darkness!!! :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
Not mentioning any names... because I really don't care that much, but how is it possible to confuse this track with another????? :conf: Maybe it's just a personal thing? I think that Fire & Ice - Out of Darkness is one of the greatest tracks ever! From the first time I heard it, it instantly hit me as simply "Great". I really don't think that this track gets the credit that it's due! It's a track that I can listen to over and over again until my ears bleed and still want to hear it again.
It just makes me wonder if this song really didn't make it as big as some others because no one spins it but Tiesto. The first time I heard it on Innercity, I knew right then and there that I would absolutely FFFFFFFFFFFFRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKK
If I ever heard Tiesto spin this at a party. I first hoped he would spin it at Wintergalactic, and it was a no go, then I found out he was coming back and I had my chance to hear it again.
So what does Tiesto do... throws it down right after Urban Train to polish off an amazing night. When I first heard him bringing it in, I started to freak out because I had no dancing room, so I left my friends to search for some floor, and when I found it, I asked people if they knew what track it was... everyone said NO!!! I could do nothing but shake my head and say, "Just Wait"!!! When the track was over, everyone came up to me and asked what that was... no one had heard of it.
No one ever mentions this song in thier all time favorite tracks, and no one has made this song a "song to talk about". Well I just thought I should share my views on this track and ask again...

damn, and i'm compelled to write this after reading something else....
i never understood anyone's fascination with this song. if i remember correctly, they actually RE-released the song 'cus it was too cool for becoming a "classic." I think Fire n Ice have made MUCH better productions with:

Lost Emotions (2001)

Sonic Inc - Taste of Summer (fire n ice remix)
Sunscream - Exodus (fire n ice remix)
i think either Out of Darkness or Beyond my Control was their worst production, ever, in the history of trance, even before trance, techno too |

| Guess you're entitled to your opinion, I still think it's amazing though, and I'm not putting down thier other tracks, I love them all too!!! |

first off
beyond my control was one of my favorites imho, and out of darkness, i was good, but there were many others that were better
forever young for one.
although i would die to hear any fire and ice tune live, even if it was out of darkness, cuz there is one part in it that will make me go nuts |

Agreed, I mean, I love the build-up in Souvenier de Chine, but it does quite kick in the way Out of Darkness does! Very dark, very mysterious build-up... then just kicks you in the ass, and just when you think your getting tired of bustin' out to it, it somehow picks up as if it started all over again. |

I think that forever young is the best track by fire and ice
the melody is the best and the overlaping is very creative
not to be confused with silent cry
lost emotions is great also de chine, but they are quick to become
less exciting. |

no need to get that angry cause of one track!
Um.. I like to spin both, Out Of Darkness has a progressive build up, so kinda like it, but Souvenir De Chine has also an amazing melody. So.. they're both great ;) |

| Out of Darkness is a great tune, I like it because it reminds me of Tiesto's Pappybones set, but Fire & Ice have done better! Like Avro said, Forever Young is AWESOME (and not to be confused with 'silent cry' which was mislabeled on Magik 6), Lost Emotions (original n 2001), Neverending Melody (how come nobody's mentioned this yet?) and of course my favourite Souvenir De Chine! To each his own though, and Mortyman you shouldn't make such a big deal out of it, you have to understand that some others don't see 'Out Of Darkness' the same way you do, so they'll make less of an effort to remember it, you know? |
