i switched to reason from fruity loops some time ago becuase i like the interface much more (along with mac compatibility). the only thing that i havent figured out how to do in reason that i could do in fruity loops is odd time signatures. that is, how can i fix it so that for each measure, i have 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, etc. beats within the measure instead of the standard 4. to be sure, i was able to do it in fruity loops just fine, and i think it would be a huge let down if it couldnt be done in reason.
thanks! |

Mark whatever you want to be inside a measure and click 'group'
And the other way if you'd like 'ungroup'..

grouping is not what i mean. i want the actual markings on the screen (the lines in the piano roll) to change so that instead of it looking like there are 4 beats in a bar, there are 5 beats in a bar.
i actually want to compose in 5/4. |

I see.. Thats easy too.. Look at the bottom of the screen, next to the play, stop and rec button. 'signature' will solve your problems..
