Tips to speed up your high speed internet

So I just bought a new computer and my speeds are up to 1.4MB on one program but for some reason Bittorrent's speeds are running a little slower than usual, and yes the ports are forewarded....
any ideas? |

I noticed bittorrent has been rather slow lately, probably due to MPAA raids.

I quite enjoy ABC, is it that much of an improvement? I don't need features coming out of my ass I just want speed and such. |
