Response to TOP 100 dj's

delstar
well i've been waiting for this to come out ever since last january when the 2000 listing was up...........am i surprised??? not at all

djmag is based in the UK i believe thus having over 40% of the total votes (so i've been told)

so its a bit biased to globalunderground UK djs who are all in the top 30 and forever will be!

Major accomplishments this year
3) armin van buuren: non existent last year! well done avb...we love ya!
2) dj tiesto proving he belongs in the top 6.....top 3 in my book! we're happy for you tijs!
1) in my mind, the happiest surprise, max graham, proving he is one of the world's best and making his intro in the top 100 in the mid-twenties (23)!

i think the UK vote has obviously helped tiesto and max a great deal because of their explosive exposure in the UK(mainly gatecrasher) i knew max graham would be there this year...just not as high.but im happy cuz he had my vote

Biggest Jokes of the top 100 (i know i will get criticism) :p

as swamper mentioned, marco V in the 85 spot...he deserves to be in the top 20...almost near mauro picotto..however mauro's production success with komodo etc, gave him his spot in the top 10

and finally, judge jules, while many love him, i dont understand his placing at number 11...gimme a break

please add what u think, this is just my 2-sense...i tried to reason and describe what i think, let me know if u agree with what i say? or if u think im a moron :p
hehe ciao

I'm totally agree with delstar, altough I havenīt listened to Tijs or van Buuren live :((...and, oh, I beggin' they come to Mexico with people like Ferry, Gielen or Picotto...), I know that they're pretty amanzing!!!:)

Since the place in 5 top for Digweeds, Sashas, van Dyks, Oakenfolds and Tenaglias is 'eternal', for me the surpises are guys like Deep Dish, inside top 10, proving that their style is much better than we think, Timo Maas, up and up and up..., and Max Graham, who is the 2001 'revelation' (What do u think?), besides #50, Hernana Cattaneo, a guy from Argentina, who I swear was almost unknow a year ago (well done by himself signing with Bedrock!!:)).

Also, I'd like to emphasaize the very strong and constant position of people like Carl Cox or Richie Hawtin. They have been in top 20 since I got memory!!!

And about Judge Jules...well, he isn't my style neither, but remembering that this is an international and 'all-styles' dj top, he's the best for Eurohouse with Tall Paul and Pete Tong. In techno is Richie Hawtin. In house are Roger Sanchez and Eric Morillo....

And about everyone else, Iīm not surprised for Sander, Fatboy, Lawler, Seaman, Howells, etc.; they are simply the best of the best...

BTW, anybody knows something about number 16, Fergie?

Saludos :D :clown: :whip:

I think Marco V is rated a bit to low I think!
integrity1
with all of the work that he does(production, live sets, remixes) i would have liked to seen ferry ranked higher than 19 on the list. a top 10 spot would have been nice but i guess that what happens on a prog-house dominated list
DJ Xtronic
In my opinion, judge jules is not that good of a dj, and plus why is ferry corsten sooooooooo low.
This guy definitely deserves to be in the top 5
I take a lot of my mixing techniques from him.
For those that dont know, I think it is much harder to mix uplifting than progressive.

A bit????????

the guy made of a top 20 metirial!
he is emazing.
his mixing is much better than most djs but what really cool about
his mixing is that they are very special, not boring beat to beat
but more using of the climaxes of the tracks
that what i really love about him + he playes the best music genre

surprised 2 see Avb as well so low right after Nick Warren...4 me Nick should of been in da top 5 or 10...i mean dis guy is really something, a true master of progressive..i have no regards 2 Sasha/Digweed coz they r masters of their as well, but Nick at 26? doesn't seem 2 right...surprised 2 see Danny Tenaglia and Deep Dish really high..finally they get some respect, both very sick house/techno dj's :) although i dont listen 2 Marco V dat much, i still think he is rated 2 low 4 his specifications...and Judge Jules, first i thing i saw..I DONT THINK SO, but dats how it is, he plays commercial trance and da majority of people like dat da most

#16 Fergie. Slinky resident, Hard House GENIOUS. thats all I have to say.

he bangs it harder than me with a 16 year old
FoXford
