Well, what can I say...I pretty much agree with the list, although I think Marco V should be way higher, and Paul Oakenfold should be way lower. I mean, Oakenfold ranked higher than AvD, Tiesto, Ferry and a bunch of other DJ's that are much better than him in my opinion.
Also, where's Westbam???
As for Digweed, Sasha and Tenaglia topping PvD...I can't comment, since I haven't heard sets or been to clubs where either of those 3 were spinning. From what I hear Digweed is a great DJ, so maybe he deserves the number one spot...but I haven't heard too many great things about Sasha and Tenaglia. Hell, I've never even heard of Tenaglia. Oh well, Thats my gripe with the list.

To be honest I hadn't heard about Tenaglia until this year...I'm not too much of a commercial or deeper house head, I prefer the progressive stuff that I spin, but from what I hear Tenaglia rocks...even though he uses CD players which I disapprove of.
I haven't been listening to Jokey or PVD really so I can't comment on them, I like Marco V, Digweed ROCKS, AVB should have been ALOT higher in my opinion, considering he plays a bigger variety of stuff then alot of other trance DJ's.
Remember anyone could have voted on this...alot of people who don't know the dynamics of a decent set could just vote for Oakey or Tiesto b/c they are well known and popular. |
