omg...watching it now for the first time in yeeeeeeears
its so amazingly dumbed down and not funny at all
saw second city in chicago and it was exactly what i wish snl would be
currently...paris hilon not only is acting, she's acting black
and its ridiculous

hopefully they'll get some more mature writers
right now i feel like every skit is targeted at 14 year olds
whereas the show used to be funny for all ages

Love that cast with Myers, Carvey, Sandler, Farley, etc.
Second best cast ever to the near original one imo. They reestablished SNL as a place to jumpstart as wildly succesful acting career. But the writing, not the actors suck imo. They try to beat MAD TV at their own game, plus they rely too much on their own past success. |

will ferrel, cherie oteri, jim bruer, tim meadows, etc.....those guys were the best :) |

and afaik, the writer for SNL atm is Jimmy Fallon...not sure tho
they need norm mcdonald back for sure. |

conan obrian was a writer for the simpsons for a long time
aka before it started going downhill
he's a rediculous goofball on his show, i'll give you that, but he's definately got writing talent |
