I dunno how much controversy it would cause in Canada LOL The most controversy we get here is about controversies in the States.
The reason why American Dad is so similiar to Family Guy is because when bean counters canned Family Guy, Seth started working on a similiar concept, but obviously couldn't use Family Guy brand. That's the reason why the set up looks so similiar. Of course, now that Fox crawled back for more Family Guy, the two shows side by side will look almost the same. The big pitch about American Dad is it's political humor vs. domestic humor in Family Guy.

Also, Family Guy IS a great show (enough of this WAS bull), and is coming back on the air in May 2005 :D |

trust me, u didnt miss anything in the simpsons...nothign that great happened.
but american dad had some funny moments. i love that fish :stongue:
but it reminded me of family guy sooooo much. its like this isnt even a new show. well see how the rest of the episodes are. |

| i noticed alot of people already disliking the show comparing it to family guy. so i must say do you remember family guy first episode ? it was pretty much the same. you need time to get to know the characters and the show makers still need to develop them for us. for example if you guys watch the first episode of futurama youll notice that bender there is quite nicer then the bender we got to know later on. |
