Whats so good about these mixers, I always hear people go on about them...

The VCF filters of the Allen&Heath mixers give you the ability to to some really subtle mixing effects compared to the effects that come with the DJM600 and other competitors. At the same time you can still go crazy with the VCF filters if you are in that kind of mood.
(I'm more for the subtle mixing though myself)

Another big selling point is 4 frequency EQ's (Xone 62/464 only)
The extra EQ does give you alot more control when you are mixing some songs togeather. Of course you can only manipulate so many dials at once. It does have a global EQ on/off for each channel, I perfer that to having individual frequency kills.

The A&H mixers are mostly known for top notch sound quality. Unfortunately it also comes at top dollar.

The A&H mixers are top of the line mixers.. they have superb sound quality, the VCF (Voltage Control Fader) filter is awesome, and all the components are very very high quality - they can take lots of abuse.
The main thing tho is the sound quality.. it's up there with Rane, Ecler (only SCLAT and MAC series), Rodec and the top of the line Vestax (PMC-55, PMC-46mkII, PMC-400).
If you get either one of those you won't have to replace it in the next 10 years (minimum).
