Can someone recommend an inexpensive hotel in Manhattan? Preferrably somewhere within walking distance to Time Square and under $150/night. Also, where are the good clubs located in relation to this part of Manhattan? I've never been to the big apple, looking forward to the trip in mid-April. Any other recommendations or advice for the trip would be appreciated as well. Thanks!!

Try some websites with deals on hotels.
As for clubs the 2 best ones are probably Crobar and Spirit. |

thanks, are Crobar and Spirit on friday or Saturday nights? Anyone have their website links? I've been to crobar miami which is an awesome club, looking forward to checking out the NYC version.
ps - all online sites I've checked have hotels in the times square area of manhattan between $150-200 a night, is this the going rate? That's an insane amount of money for a damn 14x10' room... what are some safe surrounding neighborhoods that have cheaper hotel rates? Is Brooklyn safe? |

| Don't get your hopes up about the NY Crobar to many people blah, as for brooklyn negative if you've never been here. I suggest going about 10 blocks off of times square try the lower 50's or 60's not to close to Central Park cause then it gets expensive also. Other ideas, just ideas, if your flying in stay at one of the airport hotels, if your flying into NJ try staying around Newark Airport, most hotels should have a way to drive you to public transportation to get into NYC. There a bunch of good shows the first few weekends in April. Hope you have a great time on the East Coast and bring some damn warm weather with you :D :D :D :D |

| Stay in the hotels in Queens, some range from 60-70 a night and take the train to the city. The traveling to the city and hotel will still not be over the price of what you would pay for a hotel in the city. |

I just got back from a weekend in NY...booked at Hotel Stanford for $89/night, at 32nd & Broadway (about 5 blocks from Time Square).
First room was decent, though smelled like smoke & faced a wall.
The second night we asked to be moved to a non-smoking room, & they upgraded us for free to a sweet, bigger room with a nice view & a king bed & nice bathroom for the same price ($89...or with all taxes, $98/night). I'd recommend the place...try to get your room moved if you can.
Hotel Stanford is about a mile from Crobar--a $5 cab ride or longggg walk from Crobar. |
