NOt that I EVER use ICQ anymore, but back in the day i LOVED IT... im hopefully addicted to MSN.. just n love it... everything (except when it goes down :()

The main problem with MSN vs ICQ is that on MSN ppl seem to be 'expecting' a response right away simply because your status is 'Online'. When you don't answer in a timely fashion the n00bs will accuse you of ignoring them.
This was never an issue on ICQ - but, then again, not many n00bs used ICQ either.
