Great Set man! I've recently started mixing electro and acid house so I really enjoyed this. I have a question about mixing electro/acid... I was listening to your mix and some transitions seemed like the record would stop and the next one would just come on without any mixing.. Im not criticizing cus it sounds good and it seems that you can get away with doing this with electro. When I went to see Josh Wink and listened to his mixes, he also did the same thing.. is this standard practice to mixing electro/acid?? the mixes seem much more abrupt than other genre mixing...

also what is the track that starts at 72 mins?? I've heard it before and really want to buy the vinyl. what label is it on?

Cheers mate.

i think i know what you mean. It's actually the way the tracks finish off, the sound drops off dramatically and u are left with just a beat, hence why it sounds like the track just stops. It's still there, just very little happening in the song.

one of these two?
12. The killers – Somebody told me (The Glimmers GypRock mix)
13. Felix Da Housecat – Rocket Ride (Soulwax rock it right mix)

12 is on Lizard King/Universal

Rocket ride is on various labels and digital downloads.

hmm I dled both of these to be sure which one it was but they didnt sound like what I heard on your mix. Its the song with a really funky bassline and drum roll build-up that starts at the time i mentioned. can you also name me one label that its on as I buy all my records from records shops, not internet, so it would make my search much easier...cheers.

muli
I'm pretty sure you are talking about the killers track, it has a heaps funky bassline.

That i got off juno, with the mylo remix on the flip.

Unless you are talking about the chemical brothers track before it?
muli
Ok just skipped to 72mins, it is DEFINITLEY Rocket ride.

here it is here
