damnit!! i wont be here to check it out when it happens :(
i actually liked the location of the booth. i think it would have been cool to somehow get rid of the staircase in front of the booth and open it up to the dancefloor. that would have been good.
i like it where it is cause the dj is not the central focus. you just have a bunch of people in a room dancing and not constantly facing the dj (even though i like to watch the dj too...). it has a really unique feel to it.

they need both staircases open to maximize crowdflow and minimize distrubance on the dancefloor. So moving the booth where they're planning on going is a great move. Plus, with additional crowd flow it'll make use of both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, as well as give the lounge downstairs more access.
The one thing I am concerned about is the lounge area which will now be behind the booth, I really hope it doesn't cut it all off completely, that place was a really good place to chill for me, especially when I needed it on NYE. |

The new booth is going to be where the giant black dancing box is in the middle of the club. (about two or three tiers above the dancefloor)
Same dancing space, just a more intimate interaction with the DJ while you pound your feet on the ground, and fists in the air.

this is great news!
but i usually like booging there as well - and now it's a great spot to ask the DJ for an autograph - instead of going to the light, effects dude - which he basically knows my name LOL
