And because futurepop is so very common, it gets played alot, a bit to much imo.

Futurepop gets played much? ... :haha: ... Even the postoffice man didnīt knew anything of the occasion in the Effenaar and the band. Wel, I get the point... Most of the Goth/Industrial people find VNV Nation rather cheesy, but they DID start the whole genre anyway:D

And BTW... After their act, itīs Cybergothic Syndrome... First I didnīt know what THAT was, but it seems to be all sort of styles of Industrial played by DJs. So that could be quite intersting, donīt you think?;)

It might soften the pain :p

I'm at the Belgian TA-party on april 2nd, far away from any futurepop :D, but feel free to enjoy yourself, but I've heard from a "fan" that VNV is rather meek live.

You got to be kidding me... They were breaking the place a part last friday!:eyes: "Dark Angel" was performed best, IMO. I think Ronan had another approach to his singing in general, but I did not like the totally over-the-top singing in "Beloved", though:( (one of my favourite VNV-songs)
I do had (and I always will, with futurepop) problems with the feeling if I should find the music entrancing or if it just should give me a "band"-feeling:confused:
I enjoyed the hard industrial of Soman too, and Cybergothic Syndrome was a perfect afterparty to me. Seems I can enjoy it just as much as other futurepop-acts!!

I had a great evening:D

the james holden track he plays at about the 30 mins mark in his studio brussel set is probably the most evil i've ever heard... tho probably everything you mentioned so far would make me hide in a hole and cry :nervous:

seriously, it wouldn't.
