| we're turning this into a martial arts movie thread. I love it!! I used to watch quite a few of them under other friends guidance, and I can't for the life of me remember many of their names, but real martial arts films are kickass. It's been too long since I've seen a good one |

If the RZA says its good, then its got to be.
Remember in the Racial Draft in Chapelle Show, even the asians picked the almighty Wu. |

Rotten tomatoes gave the movie 82%, and trust me, that site rates movies hard.

| i just saw Ong-Bak, and as much as it was cheesy as hell (as most of the Asian movies are anyway), the fight scenes and stunts were just mind blowing... but I wouldn't go that far out of my way to watch it again, let alone buy it and add to my collection. |

Just got the full dvd rls of this yesterday. Good lord its and awsome movie. The fighting is really hardcore. While the story isn't all that great, if you're a martial arts fan trust me, Tony jaa gives the goods. The final fight scene in the cave has to be seen to be believed. Overall, much better than some of the thats recently been coming out. 9 out of 10. |
This guy is amazing, and the film is the best pure martial arts movie to come out in a long, long time. The best part about it is that Tony Jaa and the movie itself are yet untouched by the leeches in Hollywood.
Sadly, I expect him to be the next Jackie Chan. Eventually starring in poorly made Hollywood movies until he's been watered down and mass produced, likely co-starring in a straight cop/crooked cop movie with Chris Tucker.
Does anyone know if he's done any other movies? |
