Dreamcast vs PS2 vs Gamecube vs XboX (pg. 2)

Dreamcast was a failure from the day it released. I predicted it was going to fail and it pretty much did. Sure they they had some good sellers but PS2 has so many more good games and most of the best sellers from Dreamcast are being released on other systems.
As for Gamecube vs. Xbox, Gamecube will sell better in Japan than XBox because of it's size compared to Xbox. Gamecube is small because the Japanese don't have alot of room where they live, PS2 can be vertical for the same reason, XBox on the other hand is HUGE.
I think that PS2 will continue to sell better than both the systems. Sony has much better gaming companies than either system IMO. Metal Gear Solid 2 comes out next week...that should be reason enough to get a PS2 :stongue: |

we're talking about now. Dreamcast was a failure and was killed by PS2 and so was the sega saturn which was killed by playstation. |

Yeah but the thing was big and clunky, if u tried to put it in your pocket u might split your pants (same with Gameboy but GB was smaller). Gamegear also ate up batteries FAST.
O yeah, and there is no way Sega CD was better than SNES IMO. SNES is one of the best systems ever. |

Pooh. :D My point was that Sega has always been just a little too far ahead.. and they always lose out. |

| gamegear was much better then gameboy but it was ing big, took 6 batteries and well it was HUGE but then again so was gameboy back then, i don't understand how sega loses. |

| I think the PS2 will be the best. I've allready got a Dreamcast it's a good machine but not alot of good games for it. PS2 will be the best because more good games will be on it after the PSone succes.:) :) |

Compared to xbox or gc, the new playstation falls short of comparrison. It uses the same crappy control stlye, can't process graphics as fast, it's big and clunky,poor future gaming prospects (IMO)..except for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Devil May Cry. They lost the gaming rights to Nintendo for Resident Evil.. I dunno.. I think they may be on the losing end this time. *triumphant grin* WHich is good, because I've hated that damn console since day -1. :D

i think the x box or the game cube is gonna be the best. either way, i hope they will be released soon, so the prices of all the consoles will drop.
a few years ago i played a wrestling game on the sega 16 bit. At a freinds house. And you hade to press all the buttons really fast, but it were very crappy controllers, so i cut my thumbs open on them. i hate sega ever since! |

well you can say what you want- its your opinion, but it is also clear you never spent much time with a ps2 OR a psONE for that fact. the controller is the same because its the best, and no other reason. its been tightened up, and all the buttons are analog now, but you cant say that the controller sucks, its prolly the best one ever made. and for MGS2 and Devil May Cry being good games, this is true, but they arent the only ones. PLUS MGS2 is coming out for xbox so its not even a reason of have a ps2. its reasons like GT3 - A spec, ICO(read:art), THPS3(also on other systems), SSX Tricky, GTA3, Ace Combat 4, plus the games you mentioned, and many others. mostly tho, the ps2 is ALREADY successful and we havent seen the other two yet. n64 was technically superior to ther psx, but it never actually won out. no one can say the same wont happen for GC or xbox, but the xbox is much more likely to encounter difficulties. late/ |
