| darude - some people just think of him as the dude that made sandstorm.....some people love all of his music.....some think he's cheese, some think he's trance....i personally like darudes music, seen him live a few times and each time i love it....what is your personal opinion about him? going downhill or what? |

| I really like his music, itīs different compared too all the other trance tracks out there.. same with Dallas Superstars, totally rocks |

he basically plays the same stuff as every other trance dj. i dont think hes going downhill, but dont think he was ever up the hill. he posts in here sometimes, mostly just the local forums |

| when I was first getting into trance, sandstorm had just been released. I personally thought it was quite catchy for a new EDM ear and must say it didn't hinder my attraction to trance at all. Darude has his purpose :D |

| He's by far not my favorite but, I'm a fan of some of his work, including sandstorm. |

I dont think its fair to hate a producer if he made one or 2 cheesey productions. If he made just one stormer of a track, then i would respect him for that. Ill have to take a listen to that darude track that was mentioned, and see if its any better than sandstorm
Scooter have released a new track on promo, that actually is up there with a lot of trance producers. Its not they're usually cheesey style, you'd be surprised to hear its scooter that made it.
Now its no stromer either, but its a huge improvement.
Another example is Mauro Picotto, most Techno addicts would probably laugh at his name, but hes is after releasing some serious Banging/minimal Techno productions recently.
So it just shows that all these cheese artists can have potential. |

standstorm poked at peoples curiosity about trance, and im sure was influential in many peoples decisions to pursue the genre further. its like weed, the gateway drug :p

| There's some good tracks on his latest album. They've all got that "Darude sound" but they're all pretty different still. |
