well, cubase started as midi sequencer. fruity started as a standalone software studio. ok, both have evolved, but this is the answer to your question ..... i'd go for cubase each time. |

Why? if you like FL why not keep using it?
It's not like Cubase makes hardware sound better.
(i assume FL can run hardware) |

running hardware in fruity loops is rather simple just read your ing help file... i posted sevreal times on how to make fruity run hardware.... in fact fruity loops has presests for using most common hardware synths to save you time. |

if you got money, why not get a decent MIDI controler first?
thats what i would do b4 dropping a couple grand on a synth |

radium 61 200bux roland jp 8080 500 bux total 700bux + shipping... not a couple grand. a midi controller is cheap and easily availble where as finding a good synth for a good price could be tricky as it takes time to find one for the right price. id stick with flp if you allready know alot of it becuase well itll save you time and since you can use hardware with it theres really no advantage to cubase over fl besides maybe some more in depth hardware support. honestly hardware to buy would be the supernova 2, waldorf micro q, nord lead g2, jp-8080, viruis ti desktop |

So a midi controller is important? is it some type of synth or is it a device that controls synths?? Well the Roland jp-8080 does not have like the piano keys and a virus ti desktop does not have like the keys either. So I think I understand them now so you hook up the synths to the midi controller then play the keys on the controller and you will get the synth sound you hooked up to it? is it something like this thanks... |

Yes and also why do certain synths have keys and others don't? |
