Ok, I have data in an excel spreadsheet that I'm using in Word as a data source to do a mail merge - I get it all done and reach the point where I want to send out the emails - I click ok - and then NOTHING HAPPENS.
I don't use Outlook normally, I use thunderbird - I switched to Outlook Express 6 and set up an account to see if the mail would get sent out - but - nothing. I wonder if Outlook 2002 needs to be installed.. this is stupid, all the documentation says after I click ok the mails should be sent.. uhhh.. no.
Anyways, if I don't figure this out by tomorrow I'll just do it in php/mysql.. I know that'll work.. I just assumed this would be faster, guess not.
Thanks. |

Swamp, as far as my experience goes, Mail Merge creates a mass mailing as in printing many individual letters, but didn't know it would send individual documents as e-mail as an option to individual addressees. Might be something new that Bill Gates cooked up recently. Can't help, sorry. My expertise lies in Access programming.

I can get it to work if I select 'text' but if I choose html format it won't do anything.
How stupid is that. :whip: :whip:
I could live with that, but, I want certain things bolded... ohhh.. the insanity!
Note: I'm applying the service pack - hopefully this fixes it - since there was a related issue with links in mailouts not working |
