| On Wednesday,those people that used to go to "for those who know" at Tonic and "pure" at Limelight (called afterlife now) are still coming out? Where do they go now? |

does anyone remember that Oakie party @ Tonic for FTWK .. i heard that was the most rammed Tonic & System ever got ..
sadly i never hit midweek parties back then .. if i did hit anything it was usually juss a lounge like Nasa or Element
if i relocate downtown i'd be more inclined too however ..

naw that was nothing ... in 99 Oakenfold @ Tonic (FTWK) was the most rammed. They screwed up traffic on that corner and begged ppl not to come when Oakenfold started the set. |

haha, i never made it past the line for that! I was 17, with a fake id(and i looked 15)...the bouncer just took the ID and asked me to leave, lol. |

I was there. I was underage, and I got in. The high schools were on strike so I could afford a night out partying in midweek, aside from the usual midweek parties I had in the summer months. I have to say, that was the first night I took note of max graham, he killed it that night and made oakenfold look like a chump. And yeah, it was terribly packed, but the atmosphere was just rediculous.
I think I have a partial recording of max graham's set from that night floating around somewhere in my collection as well. Some toronto radio show with mc flipside was going live to air from tonic. |

Ill never forget that party! Coxy started the night off getting on the mic stating he would start the night off getting all four decks going at once. Maybe the nuttiest beginning to a set ive ever witnessed.

after waiting in line for three hours that night to get in, i have never complained about queues and being cold ever again...
