| Yeah, there are at least 15 different alternatives and competitors in Canada with this "idea" already... and I guess BlockBuster.ca will try and catch up with the rest of that market sooner or later and try to reclaim some of it as well. |

I don't think it's about being lazy...i think it's about the fact that people's lives are getting more and more busy and there's no time to "go rent a movie".....many people I know just come home after a full day of work too tired to even think about going out....or simply don't have enough time...this provides them with the convenience IMHO.
In my gym there's a personal consierge service now. Some think it's for lazy people...I think that a person that gets paid $300/hour has more important things to do than sit and order his own car/restaurant reservation/and etc ;) |
If i ever get myself into a situation where "i dont have time" to do so much as rent a movie i think id be re-evaluating my lifestyle quite seriously. |

I wasn't aware, but thanks. Got a DVD burner recently, this might be a good way to grow the collection :D |

Aww man, to bad its not. To lazy to go to the store now, i'd rather get it shipped to my door step lol! |
OK this is just too weird. Where were all you guys when we got focus groups opins on this kinda service.
My partner and I pitched this as a business plan 8 yrs ago... and got a resounding "it'll never work"
And ever so slowly...ballbusters has been implementing all our ideas... its as if someone is sharing our plan with them :whip: :whip:
What the (*&*&^^&%@#$@$! :whip: :whip:

| When someone asked IBM's (or maybe some other big computer company) chief exec some 20 or so years ago if people will have computers at home he said NO...why would anyone need such a thing? ;) |

I've been a Zip.ca subscriber for about a year - http://www.zip.ca
I recommend it 100%. DVDs take 2 days to arrive (tops). Never had any problems. |

Pretty pathetic to think that people are too lazy to even go rent a movie now.
I predict that in 20 years, leaving the house will be a huge event.
:wtf: |
It's not about being too lazy to go rent a movie. It's about selection. I can rent foreign and older movies that blockbuster doesn't have in store. |
