Hello,
Can comeone tell me the following bits of info on Australian visas:
- Can you get a short term working visa?
4 months or so.
- If you get a year long visa, how long do you have to wait before you could apply for your second visa?
i'm hoping to go for the summer, but dont want to waste a year long visa on only 4 months.
if it's easy enough to get your second visa then i'd be happy enough!!

| Im in the same boat as you uglydave. Im looking to head to the land of OZ for the summer and idealy get a job. But i dont want to waste my 1 chance of getting a working visa on a 4 month holiday. Its all about cash in hand my friend ;) + isn't there some ed up rule about having to change jobs every 3 months in OZ? |

| As far as i know you are limited to one working visa in your life. Which sucks balls in my opinion. |

| My cousin and his girlfriend are over here from the UK working at the moment, so it couldn't be too difficult to get working visas. Not too sure on the specific rules though, sorry - you might be better off asking this in the Aussie forum. |

| come over with the boat people as an illegal imagrant & spend a lovely 6 months in a detention centre located in the middle of a desert. Enjoy the 50 degree heat & then sow your month shut when you go on a hunger strike. :p :p |

UK people come to australia to get the out of the UK & are then sad to have to go back. The sun & the surf & the aussie vibe, errr i mean aussie babes, conquer all!
