Yes there is, it's called accreditation. Most of the foreign professionals in question who "can't" get jobs are not the ones who come from the countries you're referring to. European and American professionals can get jobs here no problem. The vast majority of "professionals" who bitch and moan are ones who can barely speak two words of English and their degree is written on a cocktail napkin.

Dont be so sure of that.

yeah, every day should be "bring your babies to work" day. I'm sure everyone can multitask flipping burgers or making business reports and at the same time be able to teach their kids ABCs and fundamental arithmetic and also breastfeed them. lazy bums.

Teachers should learn how to work.

Who else demands "prep time" and so many breaks? I used to feel sorry for teachers because they really did put in a lot of work. Now they feel coaching and after school activities should be considered overtime?

FAAAK AAAF

As for social daycare. Fix the social health care mess first thanks!

holy adolph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
relax dude we all pay taxes and honestly whatever. I am always far more happy to see my taxes used in a postive manner then giving Ford Canada or GMC another 800 millon dollar subsidy to stay here another 2 years before they pull out and move to mexico.

Honestly, a national day care plan is a brilliant idea. I know of at least two Phds who are stay at home mums because there is small difference in the amount of money the make weatheor or not they work and pay for child care or they stay at home and not work

If we are concerned about the economic well being of the nation what about the under utlized educated population of this nation that are forced to stay at home because of the costs of private health care.

We need to re-think what's important in our society.

I say family is the most important thing. If you're working 9-5 just to but more stuff, your priorities aren't straight.

TV, ritalin, and now daycare run by the state.

It's about time parents step up to the plate and take more responsibility for their children's upbringing.

The problem is that the West has become too individualistic, materialistic, and decadent.

Kids are seen as an inconvenience.

Declining birth rates will destroy the West.

Muslims seem to be the only ones who understand that nowadays.

That's why they will thrive and we will die out.

i am sure that alot of those teachers would rather go home and drink beers etc... after work rather then have to show some kid how kick a ball. Anytime you are forced to do something extra afterwork you should be paid for it. I would be pissed off if after my job i had to go and teach my bosses kids how to manage a database for free for 2 hours after work everyday.
that those Balitka beers are not going to drink themselves you know

Honeslty how much is private child care per month and then what is what is the average salary of person aged 29-35?

Honestly child care is a good idea and when you have kids you will be glad that you are paying 100 per month rather then 1200 per month. Honestly, with someone who is only making 35,000 a year 1200 for child care plus rent plus food all your money is gone.

At the end of the day its the same argugment that people had against a publicly funded education system "oh its to much money, the poor are unable to learn" etc... Hell even all the doctors in sasktchewan were against public health care in canada intially.

There are certain things that should be provided by the state so as to allow society to improve itself. It is far better for a nation to have educted members of its society acting in a productive manner then staying at home playing house.

just my two cents

Teachers USED to do it out of the joy of coaching etc. They never used to be FORCED to do anything. But thats a reflection of the times we live in.

But dont worry the government will pay for it! (this attitude is another reflection of the times)

Honestly lets get the current publicly run systems fixed first before we start up another mess...

So what if some of them did it out of the joy of coaching. If some of them did it for joy great but i am sure not all of them did. Thus if there is a requirement to run extra cirricular activities and this goes above and beyond the normal work week then they should be paid for it. If someone in my office decided that they wanted to work extra hours programming because of the joy of it, it would be a bit much to expect all of us to join for the joy of it, Non?

Where do you come up with figures like that!? Socializing something doesn't make it cheaper than it would be in the private sector, it makes it more expensive. Somebody has to pay for it, and unless you're operating on the assumption that only 8% of all Canadian citizens will ever have children, it stands to reason that we're all going to pay that $1200 price - just spread out over a longer time period.

And that's really the crux of the issue behind all social programs, including health care. It's not FREE, we still have to PAY for it, it just gets paid to the government instead of a private professional. EVERYBODY is capable of putting away the money themselves instead of turning their brains off and having the government FORCE them to put money away. And the worst part of it is, when you put money away for things like health care or child care and end up not spending it or being under budget, you can put it toward your other personal needs - when its paid for by taxes, it's gone forever whether you use it or not.

Essentially what it all boils down to is not "privileged" members of society paying for the "underprivileged", but fiscally responsible members of society paying for the irresponsible. Sorry, no thanks, everybody is capable of being responsible. If you know you can't afford to feed an entire family then DON'T ING HAVE KIDS!

Back in the old days, this was a common argument. "I want to have a baby." "Sorry honey, we just can't afford it right now." That is the way it should be. People being responsible for their own actions.
