Wow! An industrial post, on a trance message board. VNV Nation are definitly an amazing industrial band. I saw them when they were here last year at the BIG BOP. Great show! I used to listen to industrial all the time, and even went to Area 51 Fridays for industrial night.. back in the day! Ok so it seems I'll be going to see Danny Howells on the friday and then VNV on the saturday.
I recommend this band to those people who enjoy hard hitting beats!!

I think alot of tranceaddicts will like VNV Nation and be able to appreciate them because of the similarities between their genre of music, and trance. I used to be into industrial alot more when I was younger too, but have only gotten into VNV recently. Hope to see you there NOISE! Anybody else? lol
Arcticboy
Sound interesting, I'll consider it, that is if I have any life left in me after Danny Howells, LOL! Will let you know next week.
Boy trance
That'd be awesome if you do come Articboy, PM me if you do.

Has anybody else even just downloaded any tunes of theirs, just out of curiosity? If so what did you think of them?

I'm just downloading some to listen to, will let you know what I think.

You coming to Danny Howells tomorrow?
Boy trance
No unforunately not. I don't have the extra funds, I have a prior engagement and I dunno Danny well so it isn't really that big enough a deal for me to go, heh heh. :(

Well I guess I should post my review (not that most of you care), since I won't be starting a seperate thread for 'reviews' on this! :stongue: But I'll keep it short...

This was honestly one of the most amazing experiences of my life! VNV Nation were better than I ever could have expected!! The music was phenomenal (given I was the only one liquiding in the crowd, there were others dancing too though), the vibe was great (even the craziest goths were the nicest of people), The visuals were awesome (two giant screens, showing suitable shots n clips going in sync with the music) and I was sober the whole time (minus a beer or two)!

VNV is very uplifting, musically and lyrically, and they were very intimate with the crowd too, it was awesome. They did 3 encores (two songs each) and would've done more if they didn't have to go! The soundsystem wasn't the greatest (the opera house, pfft!), but it was allgood.

It honestly felt like I was at another trance party! If only both worlds could unite and see just how similar each one is to one another... :(

I will never miss another performance by VNV Nation from this point on EVER...
